Our students stepped into Scottish culture with a burst of music and movement as they danced the Gay Gordons today, one of the most popular dances you will find at a Scottish ceilidh.
The annual celebration is held across the world in honour of the Scottish poet Robert Burns.
Traditionally, it’s a night of poetry, music, and a hearty meal of haggis, neeps and tatties, usually accompanied by a dram of whisky. We didn’t drink whisky or eat haggis in class but we did dance and quote some lines from famous poems, and that's definitely progress towards the spirit of a Burns Supper!
